It’s the Monday after a long holiday and you know what that means - a big stack of Email in your Inbox that’s waiting to be sorted.

If you’re just logging into your Email to start this arduous task, be sure not to fall for a message that purports to be sent on behalf of Paypal with a subject line that reads ”Notification Of Limited Account Access RXI034

The full text of the message reads:

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal
system. We recently contacted you after noticing an issue on your account.

We requested information from you for the following reason:

A recent review of your account determined that we require some additional
information from you in order to provide you with secure service.

This is a second reminder to log in to PayPal as soon as possible. Once you log
in, you will be provided with steps to restore your account access.

If you’re paying close attention to the nuances of this Email, you’ll notice the sender adds an extra “L” for the originating address using - “[email protected]” - a clear sign this isn’t a legitimate Email sent  from the popular online payment processor, Paypal. In order to promptly deal with this hoax Email, please forward the message (without clicking on the links) to “[email protected]” so they can address this internally.

After you’ve reported it, delete it!
